ABOUT US
Audiology SXM is an independent hearing-care clinic in Sint Maarten led by Jesse A. Currey Blanch, Director & Lead Audiologist. Our purpose is simple: deliver clear answers and practical, realistic plans that help people communicate better in everyday life.
Jesse built his clinical foundation at GAES (now GAES–Amplifon) and strengthened his pediatric expertise at Hospital Sant Joan de Déu (Barcelona), a renowned children’s hospital, working on assessments from newborns to adults (VRA/CPA, tympanometry, OAEs). This background shapes our patient-first, evidence-based approach and our commitment to clear communication at every step—in English and Spanish.
We provide care in clinic, at home, and in schools across the island. When requested, we coordinate referrals, reports and follow-up with house doctors and ENT specialists, and we work alongside school pedagogical teams to support and monitor children with hearing needs so they can reach the developmental milestones every child deserves. As an official Starkey provider, we focus on comfort, speech understanding in real environments, and long-term support.

OUR SERVICES
Comprehensive Hearing Tests
Complete hearing evaluations for adults and children through air conduction, bone conduction, and speech audiometry. These tests allow us to determine the degree and type of hearing loss with accuracy.
Tympanometry
A quick and painless test that measures middle ear function. It helps detect issues such as fluid build-up, eardrum disorders, or Eustachian tube dysfunction.
External Ear Examinations
Examination of the ear canal to identify and treat earwax blockages, infections, inflammation, or perforations. Immediate solutions are provided, with medical referrals when necessary.
Clinical Analysis & Diagnosis
We combine the results of all audiological tests to provide a comprehensive clinical diagnosis, identifying the type of hearing loss and recommending the best solution.
Hearing Aid Fitting & Adjustment – Starkey
As an official Starkey provider in Sint Maarten, we fit advanced digital hearing aids tailored to each patient’s needs. All fittings include warranty, personalization, and follow-up care.
Pediatric & Newborn Hearing Tests
Specialized protocols for infants and children allow early detection of hearing problems and ensure the best possible development.
Annual Check-ups & Occupational Hearing Tests
A hearing care program with yearly reviews to ensure hearing aids are working properly and to monitor long-term hearing health.
We also provide hearing assessments and certifications for professionals who require auditory clearance for work. This includes occupations such as construction workers, pilots, and other roles where accurate hearing is essential for safety and performance.
Tinnitus Rehabilitation
Programs designed for managing and reducing tinnitus (ringing in the ears), using habituation techniques and specialized devices to improve quality of life.

Jesse A. Currey Blanch
Director & Lead Audiologist
Jesse is a hearing-care professional trained in both adult and pediatric diagnostics. He built his clinical foundation at GAES (now GAES–Amplifon) and consolidated his pediatric expertise at Hospital Sant Joan de Déu (Barcelona), a renowned children’s hospital, working with ENT teams on newborn-to-adolescent assessments (VRA/CPA, tympanometry, OAEs).
At Audiology SXM, Jesse offers clinic, home and school visits across Sint Maarten, working alongside school pedagogical teams to support and monitor children with hearing difficulties so they can achieve the learning and developmental milestones every child deserves. He provides Starkey hearing-aid services and applies evidence-based fitting protocols. Jesse coordinates referrals, reports, and follow-up with house doctors and ENT specialists upon request, ensuring continuity of care. He delivers bilingual care in English and Spanish.
